Touch Screen Madness

I recently saw this video online and was mesmerized by it. Not only is the music (which wasn't on the original video) well done but the touch screen capability is something out of "Minority Report".

Check it out and if you're interested in what it is and how it works check out the website developed by Jeff Han on Multi-touch Interaction Research. Super Cool!

High Dynamic Range Photgraphy

I come from a film background, and it's a constant headache (at least for me) to figure out what kind of latitude is going to best fit the lighting of a shot. Then I stumbled across this today...HDR, High Dynamic Range photography. How cool is this!? The images are deep and colorful, and processing is a breeze. There are some amazing HDR photographs on flickr that I suggest you check out.

But after you look...

In order to get the full greatness of HDR, I suggest you check out this website: http://www.cybergrain.com/tech/hdr/
It's got a great explanation of how HDR works.

Just thought you should see this!

D's first blog

So I got a blog...

I just felt left out...

And though I could've searched and searched, I may never have found a blog that would have all the things I'm interested in on it.

So here's my blog called The Artisan's Lantern. I'm an artist I think; but mostly I marvel at the beauty, creativity and technology that other artists create and use. I'd like this to be a place for me to send all of those things into the universe, or at least into the WWW.
